Feeling overwhelmed? You’re not alone.
We worked with a group of pain experts to create the Pain BC Toolbox. It’s a resource to get you started on managing your pain. Pain often gets in the way of our hopes and dreams, but it doesn’t have to. If pain has made you feel broken and lost, we can help you get your life back. Don’t give up! We can all make changes when we try things ONE SMALL BIT AT A TIME.
People who live well with chronic pain tell us that they did best when they felt like they were equal partners in managing their pain. Most said that in the early days, they relied heavily on medications, surgery and needles because they were anxious to find a cure for the pain that had started to control and destroy their life. Medication and interventions can help some people but they are usually not the only answer to managing pain. The Pain BC Toolbox offers helpful ideas that have been proven to work, reducing pain and improving quality of life.
We hope that each week you and your health care partner can look at one “tool” you would like to work on and using the resources provided in the Pain BC Toolbox, find some help to achieve your goals!
