Chronic Pain in the Elderly

September 27, 2017 11:30AM

Chronic pain is very common in older adults and is often under-recognized and under-treated. Pain often co-exists with other geriatric syndromes such as multimorbidity, polypharmacy and falls, and can have a very significant effect on function and quality of life. Treatment of pain in the elderly is complex, as multiple other variables must be considered, including the patient’s cognition, medical issues and medications.

This webinar provides practitioners with practical tools to help them in the recognition and treatment of pain in the geriatric population.
